Bio
Reed McClintock is a new breed of magician: The Illustrated Magician. His performances blend a seamless flow of lucid hypnosis, aristocratic sideshow, and a divine display of prestidigitation. McClintock weaves a tapestry of magic that is absolute in it's elegance.
Overcoming uncertain beginnings and the city streets, McClintock made his way to the world stage, performing at Hollywood's world-famous Magic Castle, all throughout Europe, and even a command appearance for the Prince of Ethiopia. He is one of just 35 recipients of the coveted Lou Gallo MVP Award, and has been featured in magazines such as Genii, Street Magic, and Skin and Ink.
Internationally known for his artistry, stunning innovations and edgy persona, Reed is now redefining the way you experience magic. Whether in the intimacy of a close-up show or the grandeur of the stage, Reed's grace, precision and easy demeanor transport you to a world within a world.
"The Illustrated Magician" -- a close-up show designed for an audience of up to forty-five people - is a spell-binding ride through the seemingly impossible, as Reed highlights his innovative methods of tattoo manipulation. Reed makes his tattoos vanish, reappear, change color and come to life. There is even a nod to the classics, with Reed's own ground-breaking versions of the cups-and-balls and linking rings.
"Mere Reflections" -- an exciting new live stage act -- features mesmerizing kinetic manipulation. While in short sleeves, McClintock conjures a cornucopia of coins from thin air. With equal ease, he extinguishes a blowtorch on his tongue and takes a heart-stopping stroll up a ladder of swords while barefoot, blindfolded and bound. He also includes the famous beautifully constructed razor blade routine, conducted as only McClintock can.
When asked how he would describe his magic, McClintock replies simply:
"This magic is a work of art that will hang forever in the memory of your mind's eye. People are riveted to the magic, I am riveted to the people. Together, through the experience, we are both changed."
